Chase to start 12th at Daytona 500

Chase Elliott finished fifth in the Duel 2 qualifying race at Daytona International Speedway late Thursday night to place him in the 12th starting position for Sunday's Daytona 500. The defending NASCAR Cup Series Champion begins his title defense aboard the No. 9 NAPA AUTO PARTS Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 1LE for a race he's yet to win. Chase has won the last two points races and three of the last five points races dating back to last season.
The Daytona 500 airs Sunday, Feb. 14 on FOX at 2:30 pm ET.
